Our beaker is starting to boil

Here in northeastern Pa. the region that chambers of commerce want people to call “upstate Pennsylvania,” the temperature continues rising as another heat wave rolls in. But it won’t stop gas-guzzling suburbanites from driving a half-mile to the grocery.
