Scientists finding new weapons to fight invasive cheatgrass

Cheatgrass long ago became the dominant plant on rangelands in the West. And the grazing of domestic cows and sheep – livestock – greatly helped convert places of native fauna to gardens of the invasive. I remember such places in southern Idaho. All the more reason, I think, to end livestock grazing on public land, grazing that is heavily subsidized by U.S. taxpayers. This article checks into the current battle against the invasive.
