The call (and noise) of the open road in America

Noise? What noise? Here in the Burlington, Vermont, area, some people are mighty upset over the notion of the newfangled F-35 fighter jets coming to the Air National Guard base at “their” airport. But, as I continue to point out, there are 24-hour-a-day sources of noise pollution that all of society should be worried about and taking steps to stop. Like the chainsaws that woke me at 0700 a few days ago. Or the souped-up Harleys that passed me while on a walk the same day.
