When life hands you knotweed, make knotweed crisp

In my decade-plus of working in the old anthracite coal town of Hazleton, Pa., I passed at least two colonies of Japanese knotweed every day – to and from the workplace. Here’s a good read about this invasive and a new way of approaching the whole shebang of invasives.
