Do ‘wild’ horses belong on N.C.’s Outer Banks?

No they don’t. Just as “wild” horses don’t belong on western range land, much of it public land, nor do they belong on the barrier islands we call the Outer Banks. Why? Because they are not native – not even native to North America. And they degrade the habitat of native species. This is not rocket science. It is basic conservation.
