Idaho guv to feds: Pony up more cash for wolves

Butch Otter, in his demand described in this article, appears to be thinking extortion or ransom or? So much for the notion of a public servant, a governor, doing all he can to protect and enhance his state’s natural and wildlife heritage. Hell, I recall with a dreamy smile the time a friend and I stood on one side of a high-mountain meadow and gushed with excitement when an object came into view across the way and our first thought was “wolf.” It turned out to be a sandhill crane. Mr. Otter, I’d bet, wouldn’t know a sandhill crane if it pooped on this limo.
