Climate change, human footprint making it hard for reindeer

Climate change and large-scale development are making it hard for reindeer to survive. This is – and will continue to be – the case for dozens upon dozens of wildlife and fish species. And human activities – the burning of fossil fuels – are to blame. Monica and I watched, with great interest, the wanderings of Caribou on Nwfoundland’s Avalon Peninsula during our week-long trek in that maritime province of Canada. This article talks more about this species and the loss of yet another great migration.
