Regulations and wilderness

Today I passed within a hundred yards or so of actual designated wilderness areas in the 6-million-acre Adirondack Park. What a delight for the eyes and senses. New York is the only state, to my knowledge, to have a law allowing for state-designated wilderness areas. That makes them all the more special. This op-ed piece I just plucked from the NY Times site considers federally designated wilderness areas in light of regulations, like the Clean Air Act.
