New rules target invasive plant species in Idaho

The federal Bureau of Land Management, as this article explains, has finally gotten around to preparing regs governing the use of hay, etc., in federal public lands in Idaho (my home state). The big-time culprit in terms of destroying and degrading wildlife habitat on federal public land continues to be the grazing of llivestock on that same land. So, how about pulling the invasive cows and sheep off our public land? After all, the grass grows a lot greener in eastern states like Florida. And, it takes many fewer acres of land in places like Florida to fatten a cow than it does in the semi-arid countryside of western states like Idaho.
