The thinking on this – and it is growing stronger with each new quake – is that the drilling for natural gas within the Marcellus Shale formation is creating conditions for the shifting of underground earth. Quakes have now occurred in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York State. Drill, baby, drill. We’ll see soon, hopefully, what testing shows. In the meantime, all drilling within those states should be shut down immediately, in my estimation.
