Greetings
About 3 weeks ago, Alan had a shunt placed to drain remaining fluid from his brain. The hematoma has been completely absorbed. As a consequence he is now walking with and without cane around the house. His functionality improves daily as does his language and cognition. He will start outpatient physical therapy soon after having been at home for two months with home health. Fortunately we will keep the same cognitive therapist with whom Alan has worked for the past several months. He still requires constant companionship to steer him in the right direction. We hope that, as winter passes, Alan will continue to gain, and that we will find him out walking amidst the green of spring to welcome back that which is sure to return.
